Mobil Delvac 1™ technology drives fleet performance
-
Helping improve fuel economy by up to 2.6 percent*
When fleets spend less money on fuel, they can invest more in other areas of their business. Mobil Delvac 1™ ESP 5W-30 engine oils can help improve fuel economy by up to 2.6 percent in city driving conditions without sacrificing wear protection, according to tests carried out by the Millbrook Group, a globally recognized independent vehicle test and validation services provider.*
-
Extending oil drain interval (ODI) potential up to 3X the average OEM ODI recommendation†
Extended ODIs keep trucks on the road and out of the shop, which goes a long way toward improving trucking fleets’ bottom lines. Mobil Delvac 1™ 5W-30 engine oils deliver excellent high-temperature viscosity control, oxidation resistance and wear protection, extending ODI potential up to three times the average OEM ODI recommendation.†
-
Improving oil consumption control by 37 percent‡
Showing a commitment to sustainability can help the environment, impress your customers and save you money. Less oil consumption means your trucks can operate longer on each drop of oil, which minimizes waste streams. During lab testing, Mobil Delvac 1 5W-30 engine oils showed a 37 percent improvement in oil consumption.‡
* A fuel economy evaluation was conducted using two Volvo FH500 6x2 Euro 6 trucks, loaded to 60% payload (circa 32,000kg). Testing was conducted on track at the Millbrook Proving Ground, Ltd. in the United Kingdom. Statistically significant fuel economy benefits were observed in the Volvo trucks when comparing Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5W-30 to a mineral 15W-40 engine oil with an average fuel economy(2) gain of 2.6% for city driving conditions. (1) Fuel economy improvements are dependent on vehicle/equipment type, outside temperature, driving conditions and your current fluid viscosities. (2) Corrections were applied when changes in test environment had a statistically significant impact on fuel economy.
†Average OEM ODI recommendation based on recommended oil drain intervals from major U.S. engine manufacturers using API CJ-4 oils for a variety of service severity levels and engine models. Average OEM ODI API CJ-4 recommendation to substantiate multiplier claims is 31,750 miles. Results may vary based on vehicle/engine condition, driving and environmental conditions. Consult OEM or ExxonMobil before implementing extended ODIs, especially if the equipment/vehicle is under the OEM’s warranty. Testing conducted using Cummins ISX, Detroit Diesel DD15, Paccar MX-13 and Mack MP-8 engines.
‡As compared to a leading, global CJ-4/MB 228.51 synthetic oil in the Caterpillar C13 Engine Test.
