Xi'an Yinqiao Dairy Group specializes in producing liquid milk and milk powder. In their preprocessing workshop, they have 12 sets of APV Homogenizers that require high-performance gear oil because of the severe conditions. The third party gear oil in use was causing a short oil drain interval.
Recommendation
The ExxonMobil Lube Engineer conducted on-site inspections and recommended Mobil SHC Cibus™ 220 and a series of Mobil Engineering Services including a plant study and lube clinic. Mobil SHC Cibus™ 220 was recommended because it is an NSF H1-registered food machinery lubricant with high performance that helps to extend machinery life and reduce maintenance costs.
Result
With the implementation of Mobil SHC Cibus™ 220, the oil drain interval was extended by 1.5 times, compared to the previously used third party oil. In addition, an annual savings of US $2,030 was achieved.
