BSA Trucking extends oil drains with Mobil Delvac™ 1300 Super engine oil
Fewer oil drains. Less maintenance. More time at home.
As a family business, BSA Trucking knows how important it is for their drivers to spend time at home. That’s why they trust Mobil Delvac™ 1300 Super oil to keep engines out of the shop and ready for the road.
Always on the move
Beginning with a single truck in 1998, BSA Trucking has grown into a full-sized fleet of 31 trucks and 60 drivers. The company’s namesakes – Blake, Scottie and Amy – grew up helping with the family business and now work in the office and the shop.
Every week, driving teams make the coast-to-coast journey from North Carolina to California and back, racking up nearly 320,000 miles a year. With mileage like that, keeping engines protected and running reliably is key to a successful business. And, with fewer oil drains, the cost savings are significant.
High-performance Mobil Delvac 1300 Super engine oil
Developed in close collaboration with OEMs, Mobil Delvac 1300 Super engine oil meets or exceeds the requirements of API CK-4, CJ-4, CI-4 PLUS, CI-4 and CH-4 service categories, as well as key OEM requirements.
Mobil Delvac 1300 Super oil is fully backward compatible, delivering high performance on- and off-highway in both newer and older heavy-duty engines.

- Stay-in-grade shear stability and excellent low-temperature pumpability provide excellent wear protection
- Excellent oil consumption control allows for less makeup oil during operation, which helps lower oil costs
Results from engine teardown
Watch as we take apart BSA Trucking’s Cummins ISX15 engine to examine the effects of using Mobil Delvac 1300 Super oil. The 2017 Peterbilt long-term field test truck accumulated about 540,000 miles over 2.5 years, yet the engine shows no signs of excessive wear, pitting or scratching. It also displays no sludge or varnish deposits, enhanced oxidation control and viscosity shear stability.
This Proof of Performance is based on the experience of a single customer. Actual results can vary depending upon the type of equipment used and its maintenance, operating conditions and environment, and any prior lubricant used.
*Average OEM ODI recommendation based on recommended oil drain intervals from major U.S. engine manufacturers using API CJ-4 oils for a variety of service severity levels and engine models. Average OEM ODI API CJ-4 recommendation to substantiate multiplier claims is 31,750 miles. Results may vary based on vehicle/engine condition, driving and environmental conditions. Consult OEM or ExxonMobil before implementing extended ODIs, especially if the equipment/vehicle is under the OEM’s warranty.
†Well-formulated oils, like Mobil Delvac™, that meet or exceed industry or OEM specifications, can help protect engines. Consult OEM for optimum fluid selection. Actual results may vary depending on OEM requirements, type of engine and its maintenance, application and service conditions, and prior lubricant used.
