Is this product for new cars, older cars or both?

Mobil 1™ Annual Protection motor oil is for both new cars and older cars. Available in 0W-20, 5W-20 and 5W-30 viscosities, Mobil 1 Annual Protection oils are recommended for all types of modern vehicles, including high-performance, turbocharged, supercharged, multi-valve and fuel-injected engines that are found in passenger cars, SUVs, light vans and trucks. My car doesn’t require synthetic motor oil. Can I switch from conventional motor oil to Mobil 1^™ Annual Protection motor oil?

Switching from conventional motor oil to Mobil 1 Annual Protection motor oil is perfectly acceptable. Mobil 1 Annual Protection motor oil is compatible with conventional oils, high mileage oils, synthetic blends and other full synthetic oils. Engine flushing is not required.

I’ve never extended my oil change interval before. What do I need to know?

1. Check to see if your vehicle is a good candidate for extended oil change intervals by considering the following:
   • If your vehicle is covered by a new car warranty, follow the oil change interval recommended in your owner’s manual to avoid a disruption in your warranty.
   • Follow the oil change interval in your owner’s manual if your vehicle is operated in any of the following severe service conditions: racing or commercial applications including taxis, limousines, etc.; frequent towing or hauling; extremely dusty or dirty conditions; or under excessive idling conditions.
2. Check your oil level frequently to ensure it’s at the proper level. Add oil if necessary.
3. The Mobil 1 ™ Extended Performance oil filter is recommended for extended oil change intervals and meets the requirements of the Mobil 1^™ Annual Protection limited warranty. When extending oil change intervals beyond your car manufacturer’s recommendation, always use a high-quality oil filter designed for your intended oil change interval.

Does Mobil 1^™ Annual Protection motor oil meet the latest industry specifications?

All viscosities of Mobil 1 Annual Protection motor oil meet or exceed the requirements of the latest industry specification (ILSAC GF-5, API SN).
