Inparticular, Mobil™ Vactra Slideway demonstrate exceptional frictionperformance andcoolant separability.Mobil™ Vactra Slideway are carefully formulated from high-quality basestocks and the latest advanced additive system that provides controlledfrictional properties for high precision machining, compatibility withaqueous metal working fluids and corrosion protection of parts andequipment. Theunique additive package provides excellent frictional properties on awide variety of way materials, including steel on steel and steel onpolymer, reducingstick-slip and chatter. This allows smooth, uniform motion at designtravel speeds enhancing machine productivity and very high accuracyhelping toprolong tool life and enhance surface finish. Mobil™ Vactra Slidewayhave also been optimized to provide separability from many aqueouscoolants.

Mobil™ Vactra Slideway have been specifically designed to provide excellent machinery protection and machining accuracy by satisfying the stringent

demands of machine tool slideways. Mobil™ Vactra Slideway exhibit excellent lubricity and load-carrying performance contributing significantly to

improving the quality of machined parts even at sub-micron level.

Mobil™ Vactra Slideway have been developed with adhesiveness which prevents lubricants from being washed away from slideways. Lubricant

wash-away by coolant can be responsible for abnormal noises, increase in sliding resistance, overload of sliding motors stopping operations and decrease

in machining accuracy.  Mobil™ Vactra Slideway can help prevent these disturbances, even in applications with high-levels of coolant wash-away effect.

Mobil™ Vactra Slideway demonstrate outstanding separability from coolants which allows the machine tool to operate with high precision and help

maximize the life and performance of coolants.

In addition, Mobil™ Vactra Slideway have been tested and optimized for compatibility with Mobil Vactra™ Oil Numbered Series.

Applications

Mobil™ Vactra Slideway are recommended for the lubrication of machine tool slideway systems. They are designed for use with combinations of cast iron,

steel and non-metallic way materials. Mobil™ Vactra Slideway may be applied by hand, forced-feed lubricator or in flood application by circulation system.

     •  Recommended for horizontal slideways on small to medium size machine tools in high precision applications. It is also suitable for circulating application in large machines and as a moderate duty hydraulic fluid.

     •  Can be used for lubrication of ball screws, linear guides, headstocks, translating screws.

     •  Recommended for applications where oil contamination of the aqueous coolants shortens coolant batch life.
