Multipurpose Calcium Sulfonate Grease

Product Description

Mobilgrease CSX 460 is a grease formulated with calcium sulfonate thickener technology.  The calcium sulfonate thickener carries both inherent rust protection and extreme pressure(EP) properties.  Compared to conventional soap-base thickeners (i.e. lithium, aluminum, calcium soaps), the calcium sulfonate thickener used in Mobilgrease CSX 460 excels in water saturated environments, providing rust protection between long re-lubrication intervals.  The inherent EP properties exhibit great stability in the presence of water, allowing a balance between wear protection and resistance to corrosion.  Mobilgrease CSX 460 can maintain excellent lubrication protection under elevated operating temperature.

1.  Heavy-duty, extreme-pressure grease designed for working roll bearings in the steel industry's Hot Rolling Mills and Continuous Casting Machines, capable of withstanding high temperature, heavy loads, and water ingress.

2.  It addresses ""downtime-induced rust"", which is a problem caused by cooling water entering bearings during periods when the machinery is stationary, such as during roll inspections.

3.  Also suitable as an EP (Extreme Pressure) multi-purpose grease for various industrial applications with frequent water exposure.

Features and Benefits

1.  Extraordinary water resistance performance, maintaining stable consistency even with high water ingress, allowing for extended re-grease intervals and reduced grease consumption.

2   Exhibits exceptional structural stability under high operating temperatures and severe shear conditions, preventing excessive grease consumption due to thinning effects.

3.  Remarkable load carry capacity thanks to its inherent high extreme pressure and anti-wear properties.

4.  Provide rust protection between long re-lubrication intervals.
