MOBIL™ SAWGUIDE OIL SERIES

Mobil industrial , Canada

Premium Sawguide Lubricant

Product Description

MOBIL™ SAWGUIDE OIL is specifically formulated to lubricate and protect guides on modern gang saws and edgers, while helping to reduce lubricant consumption. The choice of viscosity grade depends on equipment type, lubricant delivery system design and ambient temperatures.

MOBIL SAWGUIDE OIL is formulated to cling tenaciously to the guide in the presence of dirt and water to form an effective friction reducing film between the blade and the guide. Reducing the friction reduces the temperature. Lower temperatures require less cooling water; the result - drier sawdust. Friction reduction due to more robust oil film leads to less lateral movement of the blade and more accurate cuts resulting in reduction of kerf and waste.

Features and Benefits

Features  Advantages and Potential Benefits
Potent EP/Antiwear additive system Bonds with the guide and blade surfaces protecting them from wear, thereby extending component life
Excellent Rust and Corrosion Control Protects blades from the effects of water common to the lumber industry
Control of Stray Mist Reduces stray mist that could be ingested. Can lead to a healthier work environment
Oil Consumption Control The tenacity of the lubricant film can protect from water wash off, thereby reducing consumption
Pitch Deposit Control Reduced pitch buildup on saw surfaces can help to reduce cleaning maintenance on the saw

Applications

  • Designed to lubricate modern gang saws and edgers
  • Can be applied in other applications where it’s performance features are desirable
