Rolling Oils

Product Description

Somentor 44 is a low sulfur containing mineral rolling oil. The narrow destillation range and the special production procedure  gives the product good evaporation properties and excellent oxidation stability.

Somentor 53 is a highly refined mineral oil cut designed for use as rolling oil.

Features and Benefits

Somentor 44

• Balanced boiling range allows high reductions per pass and provides acceptable annealing properties.

• Versatile product for a wide range of applications.

Somentor 53

• Good oxidation stability to prevent sludging.

• Excellent behaviour in bright anneal.

Applications

Somentor 44 is particularly suited for cold rolling of aluminium and other metals.

If necessary Somentor 44 is blended with suitable additives, such as Wyrol grades, to formulate fully compounded roll oils to meet the needs of the individual mill operations.
