Product Description

Our Mobil SHC Centaur Series multipurpose greases are designed to provide rust protection in water-saturated environments. With a balanced combination of water washout and water spray-off resistance, as well as excellent corrosion protection, these calcium sulfonate greases are particularly well-suited for the demanding requirements of steel mill, paper machine, and mining equipment.

Mobil SHC Centaur Series multipurpose greases provide:

• Extreme-pressure protection for equipment with high/shock loads

• Low temperature pumpability

• High water washout resistance and water absorption

• High temperature bleed control

Features and Benefits

Mobil SHC Centaur Series greases are members of the Mobil™ brand of lubricating products recognized for their high quality and reliability, as well as performance capabilities.  This family of products is manufactured to the strictest quality standards.  A key feature for this product family is its reputation for reliability and consistency, as well as its ability to handle tough applications.  Mobil SHC Centaur Series greases are formulated with high-performance calcium sulfonate thickener technology combined with high-performance synthetic base oils.  Mobil SHC Centaur Series greases offer the following benefits:

• Excellent extreme-pressure protection and load-carrying ability for equipment protection under heavy and shock loading

• Excellent low temperature pumpability as compared to conventional calcium sulfonate greases

• Ability to absorb free water without losing thickener consistency

• Extended re-greasing intervals, reducing grease consumption

• Outstanding corrosion protection even against aggressive solutions

Applications
