Mobil SHC Centaur™ 101 Moly

Mobil grease , Canada

Synthetic All Season Grease

Product Description

The Mobil SHC Centaur™ 101 Moly is a synthetic all-weather grease that offers excellent lubrication performance over a very wide operating temperature range. This product combines synthetic base oils with a calcium sulfonate thickener and molybdenum disulfide to provide ultimate protection in mining and construction equipment.

The Mobil SHC Centaur 101 Moly offers excellent low temperature pumpability down to -30 C while also exhibiting excellent retention and bleed control at high temperatures.

Compared to conventional soap-base thickeners (i.e. lithium, aluminum, calcium soaps), the calcium sulfonate thickener used in the Mobil SHC Centaur Moly 101 excels in water saturated environments, providing longer re-lubrication intervals. The grease maintains consistency, wear protection and corrosion protection, even with substantial water contamination.

Fortified with 5% molybdenum disulphide to complement a robust extreme-pressure additive system, Mobil SHC Centaur 101 Moly is particularly well suited to meet the demanding lubrication requirements of heavy-duty truck chassis, construction and mining equipment as well as heavily loaded industrial bearings.

Features and Benefits

- Operating temperatures ranging from -40º C to 150º C may allow for year round use1.

- Extraordinary high and low temperature performance compared to conventional greases, provides protection at high temperatures and low torque, easy start-up at low temperatures.

- Balance of high consistency and low temperature pumpability extends the operating temperature range and offers ability to potentially reduce or eliminate seasonal changes1.

- Excellent pumpability along along with with excellent wear protection properties make it suitable for central lubrication systems.

- Excellent wear protection under high loads.

- Superb rust and corrosion protection.

1Depending on climate and application.

Applications

Heavy duty chassis lube for mobile equipment found in agriculture, mining, construction, forestry, and on-highway.

General purpose grease in many industrial applications, indoors and outside, in both cold and high temperature environments.
